Harvey Beef CCTV Upgrade
Shire of Harvey – CCTV Security and Telecommunications Project
The shire of Harvey is a south-west WA local government authority. BTS have provided telecommunications and data cabling services to the shire for some years. We were recently asked to review scope and update the design for a new bespoke 36 camera CCTV network across 5 of their sites, ranging from Australind to Harvey to increase network size and effectiveness. The design we provided was put to tender and BTS were successful in the bid.
This tender required effective project management to deliver on contract timeframes which were less than 6 weeks from date of order to practical competition.
We were one of a very, very few local companies that could commit to and achieve this timeframe due to our extensive resource availability. The system was configured in a way to operate within the client’s private IP network, whilst being completely segregated within the network for restricted accessibility. All cameras over the network are centrally managed in 1 location for ease of use, with security profiles created to allow numerous end users to have specified access to certain cameras, at certain times, (including remote access of footage) depending on their role and operational requirements.
The post tender analysis evidenced complete satisfaction of all tender criteria and the shires I.T manager has advised that we have met or exceeded all project expectations.
