Talison Lithium – CCTV and Telecommunications Project
Talison Lithium are the world’s largest supplier of Lithium with facilities in Greenbushes and Bunbury. They initially engaged BTS (through MSP) for some minor CCTV camera upgrades due to our previous maintenance support of their aging optic fibre infrastructure. Due to our demonstrated expertise in both cabling and security, the quality of our installation work and our ability to intergrate any new works for Talison with the expansion works being undertaken by MSP and others BTS have become the preferred CCTV installer for MSP.
BTS have recently completed Security, CCTV, Communications, Phone system, and Audio Visual/Multi Media packages for a 250-man camp built in Greenbushes in preparation for site expansion..
Since the initial scope, BTS has been engaged in 5 additional CCTV projects for Talison, taking the total count of cameras supplied and installed to in excess of 100 cameras across 5 different sites in the southwest, all configured to be controlled from 1 central location. The complexity of these projects due to the geographic spread of the sites (including the Greenbushes Mine Site & The Bunbury Port facilities) and the variability in data connections provided was all engineered by BTS in house to ensure reliability of solution.
The design of these projects has incorporated dedicated point-to-point microwave connections, new fibre optic installations and 4G connectivity options, with BTS being responsible for the design, installation and configuration of all solutions.
Our ability to meet tight project timeframes and site work schedules safely (within stringent OH&S guidelines), without incident have resulted in Talison Lithium initiating negotiations with BTS to increasing the system by another 100 cameras in the near future.
